Perth Children’s Hospital
In partnership with Dimension Data, COREIoT was recently implemented as an enterprise location services solution in the newly build Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH).
PCH initially intended to implement a Wi-Fi only Mobile duress and Asset Tracking solution. However, PCH recognised that the diversity of patient, staff and asset workflows required a combination of different wireless technologies to achieve maximum value and benefit.
In addition, PCH required a solution which enabled flexible ongoing tag and sensor management, scalability and flexibility as well as future-proofed technology.
A combination of Wi-Fi and RFID technologies was deployed to deliver mobile staff duress and asset tracking capabilities. All asset and safety requirements are visualised through a single GUI with sub-location PAR level management of critical equipment.
Water Corporation, WA
In early 2018, Water Corporation’s Emergency and Incident Response Management Team identified a requirement for real-time management and visibility of critical portable plant and equipment. This was required for tracking equipment within a central warehouse and also while being deployed outdoors in remote areas during emergencies.
Telstra introduced COREIoT solutions to Water Corporation and requested a pilot to demonstrate it. During the evaluation process, Water Corporation was impressed with COREIoT’s flexibility and technology agnostic design. In partnership with Telstra, COREIoT was recently implemented as an Asset Tracking Solution powered by Bluetooth and GPS, with sensor data being tracked and analysed on COREIoT.
Post implementation, COREIoT’s Asset Tracking Solution was seen as empowering Water Corporation with the following insights
• Real-time location information of all indoor and outdoor plant assets.
• Real-time notifications whenever critical assets moved outside of their authorised locations.
• Updates on the location of all critical response vehicles.
• Real-time visibility of stock levels of critical assets to support inventory management and maintain adequate supplies.
